Spiritual Health Tips

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:20–21 KJV

Wives spend untold time and energy nurturing other people—a lifelong commitment to Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Sometimes, however, we’re so busy working, planning, celebrating, comforting, listening, and chauffeuring that we forget to invest in our own spiritual health.

Jude calls on Christians to exercise their faith so they will not only survive but also thrive in a culture that does not worship God. Of course, exercise is never easy! We may spend days in endless activity, yet our spiritual muscles grow flabby because we never stretch them beyond the status quo. When we dare to dream God’s dreams and follow His direction, we gain the power to accomplish His will.

Jude urges believers to connect with the Holy Spirit in fervent lifestyle prayer and remain close to God, not wandering off to embrace destructive values and habits.

Finally, he encourages his friends to remain upbeat on a major scale: “Expect God’s mercy through Jesus Christ to bless you forever!”

When we follow God’s regimen for good spiritual health, we can anticipate great things in our own lives and in those we serve.

Say This Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I don’t like change—yet if I’m to grow and help others develop, I need to welcome it! Transform me, God. Amen.
