Lizzie learned all about working in a French bakery from her stay in New Orleans, several years ago. She fell in love with the bakery and wanted to have her own, someday. She lives with her cat, given to her by her friend Lydia several years ago. Lydia had given several of the Amish misses in their district a kitten, extracting a promise from each of them to keep them as indoor cats. Mysterious things begin to happen and it appears that someone wants her to abandon her dream of owning a bakery. Her good friends are determined to help her keep the bakery open. Her childhood friend John Bontrager insists on being around to keep the Amish women safe. This is a delightful story of friendship, mystery, and faith. Highly recommend.
