When You Can't Pray

When You Can't Pray

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
Romans 8:26-27 NLT

Sometimes we literally cannot pray. The Holy Spirit takes over on such occasions. Go before God; enter into His presence in a quiet spot where there will not be interruptions. And just be still before the Lord. When your heart is broken, the Holy Spirit will intercede for you. When you have lost someone or something precious, the Holy Spirit will go before the Father on your behalf. When you are weak, the Comforter will ask the Father to strengthen you. When you are confused and anxious about a decision that looms before you, the Counselor will seek God’s best for you. You are not alone. You are a precious daughter of the Living God. And when Christ ascended back into heaven, He did not leave you on this earth to forge through the wilderness on your own. He sent a Comforter, a Counselor, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth. When you don’t know what to pray, the Bible promises that the Spirit has you covered.

Father, please hear the groaning of the Holy Spirit who intercedes on my behalf before Your throne. Amen.
