These stories deal with more than romance. Desperate issues divide heroine and hero, but the answer is the same for each—faith and trust in Jesus Christ. I found some of these stories a bit darker than the usual collection fare, and I would have liked to see a fuller treatment of the first in this collection. Still, those who enjoy a hint of mystery and suspense will enjoy this well-drawn and compelling collection of characters.
