Samuel Morris, once known as Prince Kaboo in Africa, received his new name when he received his new life in Christ. Once a child captive, beaten, whipped and close to death, Prince Kaboo experienced something similar to the biblical Saul, when he saw a bright light and heard a voice. The voice told him to “flee, flee,” and he did. Eventually learning about Jesus, and receiving a new name, Samuel Morris traveled to America to seek out one to teach him about the Holy Ghost.A story of faith and miracles, Samuel Morris’s biography continues to touch lives, as his own life brought changes to those with whom he came in contact.
Morris was a humble young man who believed in God and his power, and lived it out well, influencing lives and making an impact on a university as well.
W. Terry Whalin does a great job of telling the story of Samuel Morris. Highly recommended reading for young and old, this missionary story challenges the reader to a deeper walk with God.
