Barbour Reintroduces Grace Livingston Hill ClassicsSix Titles Available at Value Price of $2.97
Uhrichsville, OH—Before prairie romances by Jeanette Oke, romantic suspense by Dee Henderson, and tearjerkers by Karen Kingsbury, there was Grace Livingston Hill. Considered the pioneer of Christian romance and known for her wholesome, faith-inspired stories, Hill wrote over a hundred books in the late 1800s and early 1900s. With her books still in demand, Barbour Publishing is reintroducing six of her classic Christian romances in May at a value price of $2.97 each.
“Several publishers, including Barbour, have released Grace Livingston Hill titles in hardcover and paperback over the years,” said Nola Haney, CBA sales manager. “This is the first time we are offering these at this low of a price point.”
The six mass-market titles in the promotion include Lone Point, released in 1898; Marcia Schuyler, published in 1908; Phoebe Deane, published in 1909; Lo, Michael, published in 1913; Miranda, published in 1915; and The Witness, released in 1917.
“Because of the low price point, the new paperbacks provide a good opportunity for retailers to introduce inspirational romance readers to Grace Livingston Hill,” said Haney. “It also gives fans a chance to pick up individual titles they might have originally missed.”
When her first husband died at a young age, Hill was left to raise two daughters alone. While writing became a way to make a living, she always recognized storytelling as a way to share her faith in God. Her books have touched countless lives and become part of literary collections.
Retailers interested in participating in the promotion can purchase a 48-copy prepacked floor display at a 50 percent discount (ISBN 1-59310-754-4). Retailers should contact their Barbour Publishing sales representative to sign up for the promotion and order the display.
