This collection of sweet romances from Barbour centers around the Stafford family. The ranch family and especially oldest son, Micah, isn’t prepared for the Miss from the East who’s come east to marry her fiancé only to discover he’d died. He wasn’t prepared for Deborah’s determination to make a go of life in the west despite her inexperience, and he wasn’t prepared for the assault on his heart at her tender heart.

The family despaired of Louisa’s tomboy ways, even after the arrival of Deborah. But that was before a new parson arrives in town with two boys that steal her heart. Josh finds a young lad stranded with his grandfather only it isn’t HIS grandfather, but HER grandfather. Josh isn’t too please to discover the waif tugs at his heartstrings. Sam, the last to fall, has absolutely no intention of being caught in the parson’s trap, especially not even when the whole town conspires against him.

I liked getting to know the Stafford family and enjoyed the play of the characters. The stories were fun, light-hearted and romantic. Each also showed that decisions based on faith are the sort that last. An enjoyable read.
