I have always found the Amish culture fascinating, but as we all know they are also very private people, with every right to that privacy. So while I live in Wisconsin and we do have Amish and Mennonite communities other than shopping there you don't truly get a chance to learn of the culture, so I do that through books. I have a found an author worthy of writing about the culture in Wanda Brunstetter. I know that I read her Lancaster Brides: A Merry Heart/Looking for a Miracle/Plain and Fancy/The Hope Chest (Inspirational Romance Collection) series and I enjoyed it very much, so I was not afraid to take a chance on this book.

Outstanding, definitely two thumbs up for this story.

Grace Hostettler is a woman recently returned to her Amish family and faith after experiencing her rumschpringe (running-around years). She brings back a huge secret though that troubles her heart, and truly affects her life when someone from her time away from the Amish life shows up. Grace is a riveting character and you get to know her family and much about the ways of the Amish through this book.

A Sister's Test (Sisters of Holmes County #2) was released this month and I will definitely be adding it to my long list of books I want to read.
Long wait for Book Three: A Sister's Hope which will not be released until July 2008
