Gail Gaymer MartinGAIL GAYMER MARTIN was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. She resides there today with her husband, Bob. Gail is a retired educator having taught high school English and speech and ending her career in counseling. She also served on the adjunct teaching staff in the English curriculum at Davenport University until 2000. Though she has written most of her life, Gail began to write professionally in 1995. Gail is the author of Writing The Christian Romance from Writers Digest and to date she has over a million novels in print. Besides her novels with Heartsong and Steeple Hill, she is the author of over twenty worship resource books and hundreds of articles and short stories in many Christian publications, including work in five devotional gift books. She was a contributing editor of The Christian Communicator with a monthly column on inspirational romance writing and presently writes the same column for Spirit-Led Writer. Gail has been a Christian from childhood, attending Sunday school and church with her parents. She is an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. Gail has served in a variety of ways, from Sunday school teacher and pianist to puppet ministry to congregational president. Now she is a soloist, sings in the church choir, and plays handbells and handchimes. Gail sings with the Detroit Lutheran Singers, who perform year-round in the metro-Detroit area.
